Lokie Parental Control · iPhone

Getting started

On the iPhone where Lokie will run, authorize Screen Time access, choose the apps that stay available, set a duration and complete the start-session gesture. Face ID or Touch ID must be available. Biometrics verify an enrolled device user, not whether the person is a parent. Lokie does not remotely manage a separate child's device.

When time is up

Timer expiry does not automatically remove restrictions. Open Lokie, complete the end-session gesture and authenticate with your device's biometrics. Time extensions are subject to a daily allowance.

The parental-controls button

With valid current session state, the button on the restriction screen can open an authentication request in Lokie on supported iOS versions. On older systems you may need to open the app yourself. Tapping the button alone does not remove restrictions.

Game chat recording

  • Recording starts with iPhone's system approval every time. The microphone is not recorded; if the microphone is reported as on, recording doesn't start.
  • Screen lock, system events or low storage can stop a recording. You may need to complete the system recording step again to continue.
  • Some apps don't provide their audio to the system, so it may not be captured.
  • Analysis needs Apple's Turkish language support, which may require an internet connection to download the first time.

Reports

The report transcribes the conversation on the device and groups flagged phrases by topic. Transcripts and matches can be incomplete or wrong; judge a phrase by looking at the surrounding conversation. You can add your own family phrases, which appear separately in the report. Analysis currently supports Turkish only.

Deleting recordings

Recordings aren't deleted automatically. Use the delete step in the app; it is protected by device biometrics. A successful deletion removes that recording's audio and report from the phone. Device backups created earlier are not deleted by this action.

If authentication is unavailable

The device owner can check or revoke Lokie's access in iOS Screen Time settings; menu names may differ by iOS version. Restrictions from another app may remain active. Lokie does not promise to lock an entire iPhone or provide exact timing.
