Insults and abuse
Insults after a loss, mocking and exclusion. Repeated often, a child may start to see this language as normal.
What you can do: Ask about what they heard without judging; talk about which game and who it came from.
Lokie manages screen time on the iPhone your child plays on and turns the game audio into text on the device. It shows you phrases that need attention. We have no server; audio, text and reports stay on your phone.
Screen Time features are on the App Store now. Game chat analysis is coming in an upcoming update.
Lokie has no server. The game audio, the transcript and the report are created and stored only on the iPhone your child plays on. Neither we nor any other company can see them.
Downloading Apple's Turkish language support the first time may need internet; that does not send your recordings. Details on device backups are in the privacy notice.
Choose a mode: restrictions only, game chat only, or both together. Pick the games that stay open and the time, then hand the phone to your child to start.

iPhone asks for recording permission every time. Lokie only captures the game audio and keeps it on the phone. If the microphone is on, recording does not start.

When the session ends, the audio is turned into text on the device. The report groups flagged phrases by topic and shows where they occurred.

Each finding comes with its topic, a context note and, where available, a few seconds of audio. Transcripts can be wrong; listen and judge for yourself.

When time runs out, the chosen apps stay restricted. Your child taps "Ask a parent" and you end the session in Lokie with Face ID.

In real reports, a few seconds of audio sit next to the transcript, so you can check whether the automatic text is right and hear the tone. That audio never leaves the phone either. The sample here is a fictional AI-generated voice.

“Can you write me your home address?”
A request for an address appears under this topic. On its own it doesn't show the person's intent. (The app shows phrases in Turkish.)
Voice and text chat in games is often fun. But children can also meet adults they don't know and language that isn't right for their age. The seven topics in a Lokie report follow these risks.

What you can do: Ask about what they heard without judging; talk about which game and who it came from.

Sexual language that is not age-appropriate, or adults trying to win trust and encourage secrets.
What you can do: Say ahead of time: "If something makes you uncomfortable, you can tell me. I won't be angry."

Scaring, forcing and blackmail: "Do it or I'll steal your account", "I'll show everyone".
What you can do: Teach them not to do what a blackmailer asks, to keep the messages, and to come to you.

Requests for address, school, phone number or photos.
What you can do: Make a list together of what is never shared.

Requests for passwords or game accounts; "free in-game currency" scams.
What you can do: Agree that account details are never shared and purchases are made with you.

Moving the chat to another app, asking to keep it secret, or suggesting meeting up.
What you can do: Ask them to check with you before joining someone from a game on another app.

Phrases that encourage self-harm, or a child describing their own difficult feelings.
What you can do: Stay calm and listen; if you remain worried, get support from the school counselor or a professional.
Talk about the session and recording before they play. Secret monitoring damages trust.
Start with "What does this mean, how did it make you feel?" Hearing a word doesn't mean they said it.
Which games, how long, who they can talk to: include your child in the decisions.
Nowhere. Audio, transcript and report are created and stored on the phone. Lokie has no server. Downloading Apple's Turkish language support the first time may need internet; that does not send your recordings.
No. Lokie only receives the game audio the system provides. If the phone's microphone is on, recording does not start.
No. No sign-up, email or cloud account.
No. Lokie works on the device it is installed on. If your child has their own device, install Lokie there and start the session on it.
No. Game audio, noise and slang make transcription hard; some phrases will be missed and some may match wrongly. Treat the report as a way to start a conversation, not a verdict.
Being prepared for iPhone and iPad. Game chat analysis is currently designed for Turkish conversations only.
Apps that provide their audio to the device's recording system. Audio from some apps or the system may not be available.
Yes, we recommend it. The in-app notice does not prove that other people in the chat know about or agree to the recording.
