Draft — not yet in effect. This notice takes effect when version 1.0, which includes game chat analysis, is released. Until then the current privacy policy applies to the earlier App Store version.
Privacy notice
Lokie is developed by Onur Yaldızlı. For support or data-processing questions, write to Yaldizlionur@outlook.com. This notice explains what the version with game chat analysis processes and how.
In short
- Audio, transcripts and reports are processed and stored on your device.
- Lokie does not send this recording content to the developer's servers for analysis.
- No account is needed. The app has no ads, purchases, or analytics/tracking tools.
- Recordings are not deleted automatically; you delete them.
Information processed on the device
During a recording that you start and approve in iPhone's system screen, Lokie receives the app audio the system can provide. It does not create video files or record the phone's microphone. If the system reports the microphone as on, this recording path does not start. Audio from some apps or from the system may not be available.
The audio is processed by on-device speech recognition and Lokie's analysis components. The device stores: audio files; the transcript and context excerpts used in the report; topic and phrase matches; short audio clips where available; session time, source information and limited technical processing status. Automatic transcripts, matches and interpretations may be incomplete or wrong. The number of matches does not indicate the number of people or incidents.
Downloading Apple's language support may require an internet connection. That download does not mean Lokie uploads audio files to the developer. Other apps on the device and Apple services process data under their own terms.
Phrases a family adds are stored in a separate list on the device. Matches from that list are shown separately in the report. Removing a phrase from the list does not change reports already saved.
Screen Time and session information
Tokens from Apple's app picker, web restriction preferences, session start/end status and the information needed to resume are stored on the device. The main app and its extensions share the control information needed for restrictions and sessions in a shared on-device container. Audio and reports are kept in the app's separate recording storage, not in that control container.
Face ID or Touch ID authentication is performed by iOS; Lokie does not receive face or fingerprint data. Device biometrics do not by themselves establish that a person is a parent.
Retention and deletion
Source audio and reports are not deleted automatically. When deleting a recording in the app completes successfully, the in-app audio and reports linked to it are removed. Backups created earlier are not deleted by this action. The family phrase list and app preferences are kept separately.
Audio and report files are marked to be excluded from system backups; this marker does not guarantee exclusion in every backup method. Some preferences and the family phrase list may be included in device backups. Deleting the app, resetting the device or iOS storage management may cause files to be lost.
Recording control and other people
Recording requires iPhone's system approval. Screen lock, system events, free space or processing limits can stop a recording; you may need to complete the system recording step again to continue. The system permission and the in-app notice do not by themselves provide consent from other people in the chat. Informing participants and obtaining any required consent is the responsibility of the person who starts the recording.
Support and this website
If you email for support, your address and the message you choose to share are used only to answer you. You don't need to include a child's personal information, passwords, real recordings or private conversation content. Your email provider's own retention rules also apply.
This website uses no cookies, ads or analytics tools. The hosting provider may process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and secure the site. The app does not add session or app-selection data to support or privacy links.
Changes
If the way the app processes data changes, this notice will be updated and the version shown on this page.
